I graduated from Liberal High School in 2005 and attended college at Seward County Community College from 2005-2007, and Kansas State University from 2009-2013. Originally I focussed on journalism, but eventually changed my degree to English Education once I tranferred to KSU in 2009. While I lived in Manhattan I worked a full-time job and attended classes part time.
I greatly value the education that I recieved from both of these institutions, and I still maintain professional and personal relationships with my professors and advisors from both SCCC and KSU.

When I am not in the classroom I try to spend as much time as I can enjoying some form of physical activity. Not because I try to mind my waistline, calories, and personal achievements, but simply because I like to move around. Powerlifting has definitely taken over my fixation the last few years.
I try to get to a state park for fishing a few times a month, especially when the weather is nice. Taking my dogs, Claire and Harlow, for a run is a weekly goal.
When the weather turns bad, I can usually be found reading books that nobody cares about, and watching cartoons, horror movies, or football. My goal for this year is to read at least one book a week. When I have the time and money for it, I love to go to concerts, art galleries, and comedy shows.
